Hey, I Thought it was Summer Break!

I’m a teacher.  So for me, June and July are duty-free months.  I love teaching, but I desperately look forward to summer break each year.  It gives me time to recharge.  This year was no different.  I began the summer break countdown in early May.  Thanks to the T-Zero app on my phone, I was able to quickly let anyone know how many days, hours, minutes, and seconds stood between me and my couch!

Now, around fifteen days into my summer break, I’m trying to figure out what I’m doing wrong.  My summer break seems to be broken!  I need to get it fixed.  Soon! I feel like I’ve been doing more ripping and running than I do during the school year.

Last week alone, I missed a doctor’s appointment, showed up late to my son’s guitar lesson, and rescheduled lunch with friends.  Why?  Because I was busy doing something else!  That’s not supposed to happen during summer break.  I’m pretty sure there’s some law somewhere that says that.

So, if anyone knows where my summer break is, please tell it to call me.  We have some business to take care of!
